A successful first fencing camp at LFIDD!
During the last school holidays, LFIDD hosted its very first fencing camp, a sport as demanding as it is exciting. Open to both children and adults, this event was a great success, attracting many participants eager to discover the art of fencing.
Led by Coach Ashley and two fencers from the Kenyan Fencing Federation, this five-day intensive camp allowed participants to learn the fundamentals of this sport, which combines strategy, speed, and precision. The enthusiasm and dedication of everyone made this week an unforgettable experience.
To wrap up the camp, a friendly tournament was organized, giving participants the chance to showcase their newly acquired skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Congratulations to all for their commitment and perseverance!
Exciting news: Due to the success of this event, LFIDD will introduce fencing as a sports activity next school year. We look forward to seeing this discipline thrive within our school and to following the progress of our young fencers.
