A Poetry Festival in Celebration of Francophonie Month
As part of Francophonie Month, the Lycée Français Denis Diderot hosted the Poetry Festival Final on April 5, 2025, following three mornings of vibrant and creative workshops.
This collaborative and participatory event brought together students from Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6 at LFIDD, along with students from international schools in Nairobi: Brookhouse Runda, Brookhouse Karen and Hillcrest Prep. A wonderful demonstration of cross-school cooperation and openness through an artistic and linguistic project.
Throughout the workshops, students worked in mixed-school groups to craft and perform poetic pieces. The best groups were selected to take part in the final performance, and they impressed the audience with their creativity, emotion, and teamwork.
We warmly congratulate all participants, and we thank the dedicated teachers who supported and inspired them. Their involvement made this event a true success.
This initiative beautifully reflects the spirit of the AEFE network — collaboration, diversity, and educational excellence.
