After several months of preparation, students from the Lycée Français International Denis Diderot of Nairobi took on a major challenge: climbing Mount Kenya. More than a sporting achievement, this project became a truly meaningful human experience, built on self-challenge, teamwork and mutual support.
Throughout the preparation phase, students worked both physically and mentally, learning how to manage effort, fatigue and demanding conditions. On the mountain, everyone had to find their own pace while supporting others. Encouragement, solidarity and attention to one another were key to reaching the goal together.
This experience also strengthened relationships between students. Outside the classroom, bonds grow naturally, trust develops and cooperation becomes essential. Moving forward together toward a shared objective creates lasting connections.
Through projects like this, LFIDD reaffirms the importance of experiential learning beyond the classroom. Developing resilience, cooperation and perseverance are essential life skills that extend far beyond this climb.
A memorable adventure, rich in learning and shared achievements.
