As part of the Geoscience Year and ahead of our upcoming Science Week (April 20–25), the CM1A students dove into the fascinating world of volcanoes during their science class.
With a hands-on and exciting experiment, they recreated a volcanic eruption using simple ingredients: baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and food coloring. The reaction created carbon dioxide (CO₂), helping them better understand this natural phenomenon in a fun and interactive way.
This experiment made science more accessible and engaging, showing that there’s no better way to learn than through doing!
Kudos to our young scientists for their enthusiasm, and a big thank you to Teacher Winnie and Maîtresse Jenny for making the lesson so dynamic and memorable.
