Exploring the East African Rift: A field trip with our Terminale students
At the end of April, ourTerminale students went on a field trip to the Naivasha region to explore the East African Rift, a key geological site.
Their goal? To identify evidence of continental crust thinning—a concept studied in class and now brought to life in the field.
Fractures, faults, and dramatic landscapes offered concrete examples of tectonic forces shaping the Earth’s surface right here in Kenya.
A hands-on learning experience that connected classroom theory to the powerful natural processes at play in the Rift Valley.
