In Search of Champions: A Sporting School Trip to Iten
In May, the CM1 students from the Lycée Français International Denis Diderot set off on an unforgettable school trip to Iten, Kenya’s legendary “City of Champions.” Split into two groups—one traveling in the second-to-last week and the other in the final week of May—they experienced the spirit of sports and perseverance at high altitude.
From the moment they arrived, the students showed patience and enthusiasm. After their flight and a sporty walk to Saint Patrick High School, they jumped straight into a day full of outdoor activities: school visit, museum and farm tour, and a training session with a professional coach.

This incredible adventure gave students a firsthand experience of the values of sport, the joy of movement, and the motivation that comes from meeting real champions. A journey they’ll remember for a long time!
