For two weeks, CP students at Lycée Français International Denis Diderot de Nairobi took part in the Savoir Rouler à Vélo program, a structured learning experience designed to help children become confident and safe cyclists
The elementary playground was transformed into a mini learning city, where students practiced real-life situations: balancing, pedaling, braking, turning, and understanding essential road rules for cyclists.
Beyond technical skills, this program supports the development of key competencies such as self-confidence, autonomy, respect for rules and road safety awareness. It perfectly reflects LFIDD’s commitment to meaningful, practical and student-centered learning.
Through this experience, students discovered a new, responsible way of moving around, while strengthening both their motor skills and their awareness of sustainable mobility.
