Motor skills in Preschool: A key to growth and learning

Motricité Maternelle Lycée Francais International Bilingue Nairobi Kenya

At our preschool, motor development is a daily priority. More than just playtime, motor activities help children build their balance, coordination, and ability to interact with their environment. Every day, our young students explore, jump, run, handle objects, and learn to engage with others in a structured and caring setting.

  • Why is it important?
From an early age, motor skills play a crucial role in learning and well-being. Through diverse activities, children learn to understand their bodies, refine their movements, and enjoy valuable collective experiences.
  • A Progressive Learning Process. The goal is to guide each child from the joy of spontaneous movement to more structured and controlled actions. Whether running in the playground, jumping during an athletic activity, or taking part in a dance game, these experiences build essential skills that will support them throughout their education.
  • A Commitment to Growth and Excellence. At LFIDD, we are dedicated to providing an environment where every child can grow with confidence, develop their physical and social abilities, and thrive in an innovative learning atmosphere.
