From January 20 to 24, our students had the incredible opportunity to embark on an unforgettable adventure: a 70+ kilometer crossing through the stunning Aberdares mountains, one of Kenya’s wildest and most beautiful landscapes.
We began our journey at Shamata Gate, located at the northern tip of the Aberdares, and made our way to Kiandongoro Gate. Over the course of four days, we traversed diverse landscapes, camped at unforgettable locations like Dragon Teeth, and conquered peaks such as Mount Lesatima and Mount Rurumeria.
Along the way, we discovered natural wonders like the Seven Pounds, spectacular waterfalls including Chania Falls and Karuru Falls, and many other hidden gems within the national park. Each step offered a unique view and a truly enriching group experience.
A huge thank you to our accompanying teachers for their support and guidance throughout the journey. And a big thanks to our students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and courage. This adventure across the Aberdares will be etched in our memories as a testament to perseverance and camaraderie.
