Our Première students take action for green chemistry : Pierre Potier Project

As part of the Pierre Potier High School Competition, which highlights innovations in chemistry supporting sustainable development, the Première students of Lycée Français Denis Diderot studied the Cryocap project, a CO₂ capture technology developed by Air Liquide.

They defended this breakthrough innovation, which captures CO₂ directly at the source in a hydrogen production unit and reuses it locally, following a model of circular economy.

The project led to deeper thinking on sustainable solutions to fight greenhouse gases and highlighted the key role chemistry can play in shaping a more responsible future.

The students also explored a promising topic for the future of chemistry: room-temperature superconductivity. This fascinating concept was studied through the lens of quantum chemistry and material science, with powerful implications for energy, transport, and quantum computing.

Well done to our students for their research, analysis, and commitment to tackling major scientific challenges!
