Science Club: A Remarkable Journey with IRD Researchers
This year, LFIDD students had the unique opportunity to join the Science Club, a project led in partnership with the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and Ngong Forest’s management team.
Supervised by geographer and IRD researcher Bérénice Bon, our students practiced the scientific approach in the field—posing questions, forming hypotheses, conducting surveys and experiments, and analyzing results. Each Wednesday turned into a true laboratory of ideas and discoveries.
In May, students proudly presented their findings to their families, teachers, researchers, and 5th-grade students, who explored the exhibition with great interest. It was a powerful moment, highlighting their teamwork, critical thinking, and environmental awareness.
