On February 13, the Lycée Français International Denis Diderot of Nairobi hosted a key event focused on student guidance: the Specialties Forum.
During this event, Grade 11 and 12 students presented their subject choices and the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) to Grade 10 students. These peer-to-peer exchanges provided valuable insights, helping younger students better understand their options and plan their academic paths.
As part of the Jeux d’avenir, the day was enriched by contributions from professionals and higher education representatives:
- Serawit Buck Landais, Global Health Advisor for East Africa and Somalia at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs
- Jean-Philippe Brugal, paleontologist, who worked with students from CM2 to Grade 8
- Thierno Ba, representative of the University of Ottawa (online session)
- Yousra Manar, representative of Rabat Business School (online session)
- Stefan Gröschl, representative of ESSEC Business School
These interactions allowed students to explore a wide range of academic and career opportunities, while gaining a better understanding of today’s global challenges.
This event reflects the school’s commitment to supporting each student in building a thoughtful, ambitious, and informed academic journey.
