As part of Press Week, the Lycée Français International Denis Diderot of Nairobi, an international school in Nairobi and member of the AEFE network, organized a series of talks with media professionals.
5e and 4e G students had the opportunity to meet:
- Gaëlle Laleix (RFI)
- Arthur Frayer-Laleix (Le Monde)
- Julie Capelle (AFP)
These sessions helped students better understand the journalism profession, the challenges of producing reliable information, and the importance of developing critical thinking in today’s media environment.
At the same time, Seconde B students took part in the school’s webradio, Radio Dunia, producing a program focused on a key topic: artificial intelligence and information.
Topics included the impact of chatbots on teenagers, inappropriate content, and current developments in AI, explored with depth and critical insight.
The program is available to listen to in replay, showcasing the quality and engagement of the students’ work.
Through these initiatives, LFIDD reinforces its commitment to media literacy education, preparing students to become responsible and informed global citizens.
