Spring of Poets at LFIDD: celebrating freedom through poetry and expression
On Friday, March 27, as part of Francophonie and the Spring of Poets, themed this year around Freedom, CM1 and CM1-CM2 students at the Lycée Français International Denis Diderot of Nairobi, an international school in Nairobi and part of the AEFE network, took part in a day dedicated to poetry.
To conclude their learning, students engaged in three workshops designed to develop both oral and written language skills: poetic dramatization, poetry memorization and performance, and calligram writing.
These activities helped strengthen key competencies such as oral expression, creativity, and language mastery.
The day concluded with presentations in the auditorium, where students shared their work and demonstrated confidence in a true exercise of public speaking.
This event reflects LFIDD’s commitment to a well-rounded international education, combining academic excellence with creative expression.
